Dr. Jennifer Shearer, Assistant Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) College of Nursing recently received a grant to purchase a human patient simulator for the Rebekah Ann Naylor School of Nursing (RANSON). Dr. Shearer was able to provide on site training to the RANSON faculty during a resent visit to India.
This grant was funded by the MUSC Global Health Program. Dr. Shearer also enjoyed visiting with her friend Leena Raj, the Principal at RANSON. Jennifer stated “My recent trip to Bangalore Baptist Hospital (BBH) was very memorable. First, because I was reunited with a wonderful friend, Leena Raj, who is the Principal of the Nursing Institute. Her Christianity shines and she easily captured my affection. It was also memorable because it was the implementation of a project several years in the making.”
